Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer with 7-8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in AWS, networking, bash scripting, basic SQL skills, Kubernetes, and a proven track record of working in a SaaS environment. As a Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our platform by providing technical support to our clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-8 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Cloud Formation, etc.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in bash scripting and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with Kubernetes administration and container orchestration.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset towards troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
