Job Overview
We are seeking a Technical Writer with Trainer capabilities who can produce high-quality documentation while also delivering engaging training sessions on IT products and technologies. This hybrid role requires a combination of technical writing proficiency and training expertise to support internal teams, clients, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain technical documentation including user guides, API documentation, FAQs, and knowledge bases.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly materials.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to gather information and ensure accuracy.
- Develop tutorials, system architecture diagrams, and visual aids to support documentation and training.
- Use tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, and Markdown to manage documentation efficiently.
- Design and deliver technical training programs for internal staff, customers, and partners.
- Conduct both live and virtual training sessions covering software applications, IT tools, and best practices.
- Create training materials such as presentations, video tutorials, and e-learning modules.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt content or methods to maximize learning outcomes.
- Stay informed on industry trends and integrate innovative training methodologies.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Technical Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing and IT training.
- Strong understanding of software development, APIs, cloud computing, and DevOps.
- Proficiency with documentation tools like MS Word, Confluence, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, Git, and Markdown.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and tools such as Articulate, Captivate, or Camtasia.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to convey complex information in a simplified and engaging manner for varied audiences.
- Certifications in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, or IT Training are an added advantage.
