You Will

  • Provide organisation wide leadership, direction and execution strategy. Also, take comapny wide engineering initiatives
  • Empower team Leads by laying out a plan and execute it well to achieve their product goal smoothly.
  • Design, experiment, and implement processes to increase the overall productivity of geographically distributed teams by tracking the relevant metrics
  • Make an impact on overall tech culture and make collaboration across teams very effective to reach important business goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership wherever required throughout product life cycles, influence software engineers best practices and own operational metrics
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams,  leadership team, and a team of great product managers
  • Ensure the team fully understands the goals and objectives of  as a company and how their work fits into the bigger picture.'
  • Seek diverse perspectives to drive bottom-up innovation and create buy-in from all technical stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous innovation and improvement of the new as well as existing platforms
  • Recruit and continue to build out a capable and cohesive engineering team.
  • Responsible for the overall growth, learning, performance, and happiness of the entire tech team. Lead the team by example. Perform regular performance evaluation and share and seek feedback
  • Report directly to CEO

What you will need

  • Minimum 9 years of quality experience in the industry.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in building large-scale systems. A proven performance track record and a team player with high-energy, 4+ Years of people management experience leading large teams
  • Expertise and quality experience in writing production-quality distributed applications in Java and a high bar for writing clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code.
  • A good business sense and deep empathy towards user needs and able to envision solutions for a global product. Agility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and scope and priorities.
  • A seasoned leader who has unlimited energy to influence and daring to take initiatives and risks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills
  • Should have strong knowledge of data stores, database design, data modelling, and SQL or NoSQL servers
  • An eye to recruiting great people in your teams and you can smell problems a mile away
